School libraries
The Biblius project was initially part of measure 17 of the Plan d’action numérique en éducation et en enseignement supérieur of the Ministère de l’Éducation du Québec (MEQ). It is now being carried out in collaboration with the Direction des ressources didactiques, des bibliothèques scolaires et des services de l’enseignement à distance (DRDBSSED, MEQ).
By deploying digital book lending, Quebec school libraries are adding an important component to their service offering. This will enable them to better serve the entire school clientele, including students with special needs, and to pursue their mission of supporting teaching and learning in all disciplines.
