For students enrolled in private schools or First Nations schools not under agreement : Biblius will be gradually deployed in these networks as of fall 2022. Consult this list first to find out if your school is connected to Biblius.
Biblius is designed for preschool, elementary, secondary, vocational and general adult education students, as well as school staff. Access is free and no registration is necessary.
How do I access and borrow ebooks ?
- Public schools and certain First Nations schools not under agreement: Se connecter à Biblius avec le Mozaïk Portail (French only)
- Private schools: Se connecter à Biblius avec le portail Coba ou Se connecter à Biblius avec le Pluriportail (French only).
- All: Premiers pas sur Biblius (French only)
The Biblius project was initially part of measure 17 of the Plan d’action numérique en éducation et en enseignement supérieur of the Ministère de l’Éducation du Québec (MEQ). It is now being carried out in collaboration with the Direction des ressources didactiques, des bibliothèques scolaires et des services de l’enseignement à distance (DRDBSSED, MEQ).
By deploying digital book lending, Quebec school libraries are adding an important component to their service offering. This will enable them to better serve the entire school clientele, including students with special needs, and to pursue their mission of supporting teaching and learning in all disciplines.
