Because of the closing of schools in winter 2020 prompted by the COVID-19 pandemic, the trial rollout of the Biblius platform has been officially postponed until the 2020–2021 school year.
Trial rollout
During this school year, the 17 settings selected by the MEES will test out access to a centralized e-book collection made available on the Biblius platform, by means of various pedagogical projects. In that context, students and staff will also explore various functionalities designed to encourage use of digital publications for teaching purposes.
The data collected will be essential to guiding future developments. The platform will thus be improved iteratively, based on user-experience feedback and needs in the field.
Rollout to all school service centres, school boards and private schools
At the same time, we are working hard with all partners involved to be able to provide Biblius platform access to all school service centres, school boards and private schools in Québec. Several elements remain to be clarified before an exact date can be officially announced.
